IndyCar at Road America 2027: a guide for RV rental hosts
Road America sells camping separately for each of its race weekends. This guide covers its IndyCar weekend, the XPEL Grand Prix. (Road America, Camping) Below is what a host delivering a rental needs to know, from the event's own pages and the other public pages linked beside each fact.
Dates
Thursday, June 24th to Sunday, June 27th, 2027, according to Road America, XPEL Grand Prix IndyCar weekend. Organizers do move their dates, so check their site before you hold yours.
- Parts of the same page still describe the 2026 weekend (its overview gives June 18th to 21st, 2026), so its camping and gate details may not be updated for 2027 yet. (Road America, XPEL Grand Prix IndyCar weekend, read September 25th, 2026)
Delivering a rental
- We found nothing on Road America's camping pages or in its camping rules about dropping off a rental RV for someone else. Ask the track before you promise a delivery; its camping rules give 800-365-7223. (Road America, camping rules)
- Everyone 17 or older who camps needs an advance camping wristband, a valid event ticket and a campsite, so your renter buys all three. (Road America, camping rules; Road America, XPEL Grand Prix IndyCar weekend)
- Camping can be reserved online only while advance tickets are on sale; after that, it is reserved at the gate on the first day of the event. (Road America, Camping)
- Camping check-in for the IndyCar weekend is through Gate 4, which the page lists as open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday (these may be 2026 hours; no Thursday hours are listed). A camper who misses registration hours cannot enter until 7 a.m. the next day. (Road America, XPEL Grand Prix IndyCar weekend; Road America, camping rules)
What the rig will face on site
- Road America has more than 1,000 campsites across the property, about 20 by 40 feet, on grass, pavement or gravel. (Road America, XPEL Grand Prix IndyCar weekend)
- A campsite holds up to six people, at least one of them 18 or older, and vehicles must fit completely within it. (Road America, camping rules)
- There are no water hookups. Electric sites are on the front straight: bring at least 35 feet of cord and a 50-amp adapter. (Road America, camping rules)
- Generators may run from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. only. Dump stations are at the Carousel Campground and inside Gate 6. (Road America, camping rules)
- Campers may stay until noon on the Monday after public events. (Road America, camping rules)

How far it is from you
| Distance | Towns in that range |
|---|---|
| Under 50 miles | Sheboygan · Fond du Lac · Manitowoc · West Bend · Oshkosh · Appleton |
| 50 to 100 miles | Waukesha · Racine · Kenosha · Madison · Janesville · Stevens Point |
| 100 to 150 miles | Wausau · Rockford, IL · Marshfield · Chicago, IL |
| 150 to 200 miles | Dubuque, IA · La Crosse · Chippewa Falls · Eau Claire |
Straight-line miles from each town's center to Road America. Driving distance is longer. A town within a few miles of a range's edge is left out, because it could fall on either side.

What RVYield adds
A subscriber's report covers events like this one for each of their own rigs, from their own hub: what to charge and how long a stay to ask for. Those figures are what subscribers pay for, so they are in the report, not on this page.

Every event fact above comes from the page linked beside it, read on September 25th, 2026 unless marked otherwise; the distance table is our own straight-line measurement. Nothing here is a promise of bookings or income.
