Hodag Country Festival 2027: a guide for RV rental hosts
The Hodag Country Festival has its own campgrounds. They open at 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 3rd, 2027, five days before the festival's first day. (Hodag Country Festival, Camping; Hodag Country Festival, Contact Us) Below is what a host delivering a rental needs to know, from the event's own pages and the other public pages linked beside each fact.
Dates
Thursday, July 8th to Sunday, July 11th, 2027, according to Hodag Country Festival, Contact Us. Organizers do move their dates, so check their site before you hold yours.
- Its camping page says sites can be re-reserved from November 3rd, 2026, to January 8th, 2027. (Hodag Country Festival, Camping, read October 18th, 2026)
Delivering a rental
- Only a nine-day ticket holder is admitted to the campgrounds; daily tickets cannot camp. We found nothing in the festival's camping pages or rules about dropping off a rental RV for someone else, so ask the festival before you promise a delivery: 715-369-1300 or 800-762-3803. (Hodag Country Festival, Camping; Hodag Country Festival, Contact Us)
- No vehicle or camper may line up outside the gates before 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 1st, 2027, and anything parked before that date is towed. (Hodag Country Festival, Camping)
- Each camping permit covers one camping unit and one vehicle; a second vehicle or unit on the site needs its own permit. (Hodag Country Festival, Camping)
- Unreserved overflow sites are sold at the gate, first come, first served, when the campgrounds open on July 3rd. (Hodag Country Festival, Camping)
What the rig will face on site
- Only some sites have electricity, each designed for about 15 amps. (Hodag Country Festival, Camping)
- Every RV and camper must have waste valve caps. Gray water may not be dumped on the ground or into porta-potties or toilets; two dump stations are provided for it. (Hodag Country Festival, Camping)
- Camping units and vehicles must stay inside the campsite's marked-off area. (Hodag Country Festival, Camping)
- Quiet hours in the camping areas are 1 a.m. to 7 a.m., when only a generator of 60 decibels or less may run; a louder one needed overnight can go in the overflow's generator area. The festival asks that generator exhaust be kept at least 10 feet from tents and camping units. (Hodag Country Festival, Camping)
- The festival asks campers not to build a fire over or within 3 feet of the underground power lines. Before leaving, fires must be out, holes filled and rocks picked up. (Hodag Country Festival, Camping)
- Glass containers are not allowed anywhere on the main grounds or in the overflow. (Hodag Country Festival, Rules & Regulations)
How far it is from you
| Distance | Towns in that range |
|---|---|
| Under 50 miles | Minocqua · Eagle River · Tomahawk · Crandon · Merrill · Antigo |
| 50 to 100 miles | Stevens Point · Marshfield · Wisconsin Rapids · Shawano · Iron Mountain, MI · Ironwood, MI |
| 100 to 150 miles | Appleton · Oshkosh · Eau Claire · Chippewa Falls · Marquette, MI · Wisconsin Dells |
| 150 to 200 miles | Madison · La Crosse · Milwaukee · Sheboygan · Minneapolis, MN · Saint Paul, MN |
Straight-line miles from each town's center to Rhinelander, near the festival grounds. Driving distance is longer. A town within a few miles of a range's edge is left out, because it could fall on either side.

What RVYield adds
A subscriber's report covers events like this one for each of their own rigs, from their own hub: what to charge and how long a stay to ask for. Those figures are what subscribers pay for, so they are in the report, not on this page.

Every event fact above comes from the page linked beside it, read on October 18th, 2026 unless marked otherwise; the distance table is our own straight-line measurement. Nothing here is a promise of bookings or income.
